The Whitworth Fantazia Fireworks

The Whitworth in Darley Dale are putting Halloween and Bonfire Night together for a Halloween themed bonfire night!

Get ready for a night of frightful fun. Bring the whole family for an evening of entertainment and enjoying the crisp autumn air.

Children are encouraged to come in Halloween fancy dress.  Costumes will be judged around 6:45pm. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and all children will be given sweet treats to take away. So hopefully no one will go away disappointed.

At 7pm there will be the first of our displays. This will be a 10 minute, ‘low noise’ display for children and people who are sensitive to loud fireworks. The second display will be at 7:45pm. This gives people who don’t like loud fireworks, sufficient time to leave the park. The firework finale will be Halloween themed and last approximately 15 minutes.

There will also be food and drink stands and kids’ fairground rides (bring cash).

Please note that fireworks and sparklers are not permitted to be brought into the venue. Also, dogs will not be allowed into the ground for this event.

Chatsworth Fireworks

Gates open: 6.00pm
Lighting of the bonfire: 6.45pm
Children’s firework display: 7.45pm

The torch-lit procession of the infamous RAT (a nod to Eyam’s dark history) will leave Eyam Square from 6.15pm, leading you through the village to Hawkhill car park and playing fields to ‘burn the RAT’ on a huge bonfire, followed by a fabulous firework display‎.

Great food on offer including jacket potatoes, delicious farmhouse sausage hot dogs, chilli, locally brewed beers, mulled wine, homemade soup, parkin and of course bonfire toffee.

Tickets are currently on sale at local Eyam stores, The Miners Arms and Calver Spar.

All funds raised go to Eyam School PTFA and local community projects so please do come along to support them and join in the fun!‎ It really is a very unique way to enjoy Guy Fawkes Night in the Peak District.

This event gets busy, and is the most popular Bonfire Event in the Peak District. Getting in and out of the small village for the event is a very slow process, although well organised.
