Peak District Kids Awards 2026 Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the Peak District Kids Awards 2026 (“the Awards”), organised by Peak District Kids, part of Broken Compass LLC.

By nominating, voting, or taking part in the Awards, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

The Awards are open to businesses and individuals based within the Peak District National Park. Matlock, Matlock Bath, and Buxton are included within the eligible area. Chesterfield, Leek, Macclesfield, and Sheffield are excluded.

Businesses can nominate and vote for themselves.

Peak District Kids reserves the right to determine eligibility and to remove nominations that do not meet the criteria.

2. Nominations

Nominations are open to the public during the stated nomination period. There is no fee to nominate or to take part in the Awards. Self-nominations are permitted.

Nominations will be used to create a shortlist for each category. Being nominated does not guarantee a place on the shortlist.

3. Voting

Voting is open to the public during the stated voting period. Each person may submit one voting form.

Votes are monitored and verified to ensure fairness. Any votes suspected to be fraudulent, automated, duplicated, or otherwise unfair may be removed at the organiser’s discretion.

Peak District Kids reserves the right to pause, suspend, or close voting early if voting integrity is compromised.

4. Determining the winners

Winners are determined by the highest number of verified public votes in each category.

A Peak District Kids voting panel oversees the process and has the final decision to ensure fairness and alignment with the Awards’ values.

1 winner will be issued for each category. The panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. Promotion and conduct

Businesses are welcome to promote their nomination or shortlist placement via their own channels.

Any attempt to manipulate voting, including incentivising votes, buying votes, or encouraging false submissions, may result in disqualification.

6. Prize draw

All eligible voters will be entered into a prize draw. Full prize details will be announced separately.

Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash alternative. Peak District Kids reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value if necessary.

7. Announcements

Winners will be announced on the Peak District Kids website, social media channels, and newsletter. There will be no physical awards ceremony for the 2026 Awards.

8. Data protection

Personal data collected as part of nominations or voting will be used only for the administration of the Awards, unless otherwise stated. Data will be handled in accordance with Peak District Kids’ Privacy Policy.

9. General

Peak District Kids reserves the right to amend categories, dates, or these Terms & Conditions if required.

The Awards are organised in good faith to celebrate family-friendly businesses and individuals within the Peak District.
