Peak District Christmas Markets (dates and details for 2024)

Peak District Christmas Markets (dates and details for 2024)

Peak District Christmas markets are the perfect way to kick off the festive season in the UK’s oldest National Park. Browse local artisan crafts and sip mulled wine as you sway along or tap your toe to local musicians playing Good King Wenceslas.

Here in the Peak District, the Christmas Market season kicks off at the start of November, straight off the back of October half term, with the one of the best Christmas markets in the UK, Chatsworth.

All, except for Haddon Hall’s Mercatum Winter Artisan Market, used to offer free entry. But we’ve noticed that for 2024, more entry fees are creeping in, so do check before you visit.

Either way, a visit to a Christmas market this season is a wonderful way to support local businesses and get into the festive swing. So grab your diary and make space for a Peak District Christmas market! The below markets are listed in chronological order and you’ll see that there is a Christmas market taking place almost every weekend in and around the National Park from the 9th November (Chatsworth) right through to the 22nd December (Matlock).

The gallery, as well his online store, sells high quality, design-led giftware, soft furnishings and ceramics, and is focused on sustainable local manufacturing and strong ideas that resonate with customers.
